The Maastunnel is the oldest car tunnel in the Netherlands and opened during world war II in 1947. This means it's 75th anniversary will be celebrated next year and therefor both closed tunneltubes are currently under maintenance.
For this, cartraffic is only possible from South to North of Rotterdam during weekdays in the nights, and for the entire weekends. During these nights and weekends lots of construction workers are working at the same time to be as quick and efficient as possible.
