When winter temperaturs and summer sun are combined, what results is shadows dancing over the natural ice.
Haaksbergen
It is always the battle between the different natural ice rinks who can organise the first marathon on natural ice. This year it was Haaksbergen that won this race by being the first track to offer 3cm of pitch black ice combined with a good weather forecast for the evening. The woman started in the snow but finished under good conditions.
The man started and finished in good conditions and delivered the big crowd a great race. It was Gary Hekman that won the sprint of the leading group!
Pole photography
Got my hands on a second hand Fanotec pole. This carbon fibre pole with a maximum extended length of 6 meter offers the ability to get aerial pictures where drones are not allowed. Tested the pole for the first time this weekend but did not extend it to the full length due to the strong winds. Still managed to get a few decent shots from the icerink.
Will use it the comming few weeks during indoor events.
